About Whimvention
Whimvention means Whimsical Invention. We read fresh public patent records as design prompts: what changed, what ordinary friction became visible, and what a reader can borrow from the underlying question.
What we publish
Every published reading links to its patent record and its supporting sources. Facts are kept distinct from our editorial interpretation. A public patent publication is not a product endorsement, a legal opinion, or a claim about current availability.
Visuals and portraits
Editorial visual studies are interpretations. When a usable official published figure is available, the visual process must use it as a reference. When no usable figure is available, the source check and fallback decision are retained in the publication record. Portraits are anonymous visual markers, not names or bylines.
Corrections
Accuracy matters more than a clever sentence. If a source, attribution, or factual statement needs correction, contact us with the page URL and supporting evidence. We will review it and correct it where warranted.
